Dr. Christian Fuchs absolvierte sein Studium an der Universität Tübingen in den Fächern Indologie, Religionswissenschaft und Philosophie; gleichzeitig Ausbildung zum Yogalehrer in der Schule des Vaters (Rudolf Fuchs). 1985 bis 1989: Dissertation über das Thema »Yoga in Deutschland«. 1989: Gründung des »Instituts für Yoga-Forschung« (IYF). 1991 bis 2000: Vorstandsmitglied des BDY. Er leitet die Yoga-Akademie Stuttgart. Von ihm liegen zahlreiche wissenschaftliche und journalistische Publikationen zum Thema Yoga vor.
