The Transcultural House of Learning for Women – Qualification as »Cultural Mediator«

The concept of the Transcultural House of Learning for Women opens up new pathways to acquiring intercultural competence. It brings together women with and without a migration background in a shared learning and qualification process. The House of Learning is based on the idea of peaceful coexistence between different cultures, enriching each other through their diversity.

The next program starts in October 2026. It runs for two semesters with monthly group meetings (one full Friday and Saturday per month). See the exact dates at the end of this page.

Encounters

Living together in a society shaped by diverse cultures and religions is part of everyday life in our immigration society. However, it is not always free from conflicts and prejudices. To embrace diversity as an asset, we need open dialogue and people who can build bridges and facilitate understanding.

Dialogue

The Transcultural House of Learning for Women is a place of encounter and dialogue for women with and without a migration background—women with different life stories, skills, questions, and hopes. Here, participants can open themselves to new perspectives, reflect on and overcome their own fears and prejudices, and broaden their horizons.

Together, we aim to learn how to engage in dialogue in a way that fosters peace, respect, and tolerance in our society.

Qualification as »Cultural Mediator«

Participants in the House of Learning are trained as »Cultural Mediator«, equipping them to apply their knowledge effectively in their professional or personal environments. They promote understanding, share knowledge, break down prejudices, and offer solutions in conflict situations.
