Die Schlacht von Elchingen am 14. Oktober 1805 war eine der entscheidenden Auseinandersetzungen des Krieges im Jahr 1805. Napoleon selbst erschien am Vormittag auf dem Schlachtfeld und wurde laut einem Augenzeugenbericht von seinen Soldaten enthusiastisch begrüßt. Der bildbegleitete Vortrag wird anhand von bislang unbekanntem Bildmaterial jene dramatischen Tage vor mehr als 200 Jahren lebendig werden lassen und sich hierbei u. a. ausführlich mit den Ereignissen an der Elchinger Donaubrücke sowie der Frage auseinandersetzen, was mit den mehr als 2000 Gefallenen geschehen ist.
